Senator Boxer makes Energy Policy into race issue… and is called out for it.

Red meat by the slab, folks! [...] When Boxer started waving position papers from the NAACP and the 100 Black Men of Atlanta, Alford called it a “condescending” attack and complained about Boxer’s focus on black people rather than science:

The irony? After Alford called her out for addressing him as a black man, and took him to task for not believing as other black men from the NAACP did, and after Alford expressed his distaste for her assumptions by mentioning he was a veteran, Boxer let’s out with this testy retort: “Let me say, as someone who is married to a veteran, that has nothing to do with this conversation.”

Apparently, being a veteran has nothing to do with energy policy, but being black does!
