We’re on the brink of doing something monumentally stupid.
And the Democrats really don’t want you to know just how stupid it is. (you really should know about that link)
Last night’s rambling press conference should have been the first second third definitely a clue.
Incidentally, Obama’s opening statement, claiming “mission accomplished” for his Stimulus plan, is particularly ridiculous. Especially so considering the unemployment rate is now higher than Obama’s own estimates for what it would have been had he done nothing.
Note that red line? That’s our unemployment rate now. See the white line underneath it? That’s where Obama said our unemployment rate would be if we did not pass his stimulus. See the last line- that one on the bottom? That’s where Obama promised us we’d be, if only we’d pass his absolutely necessary, “we-need-it-now”, stimulus package.
Thank God we listened to the President!
Wait, what were we talking about? OH yes! The newest thing that Obama is claiming to be absolutely necessary for our country. His plan to turn government into another business. This time the business plan is for health care.
The Health Care Plan that is supposedly just like the one that Congress has, but when an amendment was introduced offering to make the congressional health care plan identical to the one that Obama is insisting we the people need, the response from the Democrats was a solid “um, no thank you.”
One of those “it’s fine for the little people”, plans, apparently.
This same Health Care Plan that doesn’t allow you to switch out of it once you’ve opted in. The same plan that doesn’t allow you to switch your private insurance for another once Obama’s plan has become law. All new choices for health insurance lead to Government Care.
This same plan that Obama promised he would make all negotiations for it public. Several times. Not only that! But he’d put it right up there on C-SPAN so we could see the entire thing, not just the edited up bits.
Not only has he not kept his promise (Hope! Change!) he won’t even release a list of names of people who are participating in these debates.
Now why wouldn’t president Obama want the American people to know what doctors and health care providers think about his health care plan?
When asked about his “transparency” (or lack there-of) last night, Obama stated that most of the time the press is allowed to take pictures of the people who walk in and out of these debates. So they should be able to make their own list!
Golly, how helpful.
ALSO: The president owes this guy a huge apology.
